"I’ve ordered these many years ago so I was delighted they restocked! I use for snacks, and I reserve one for daily Rx. I like the design. Even though I hard use my gear, LunchBots wears like nails. My initial bots are almost like new but the finish shows a tiny bit of wear when side by side with these new ones. I like that it’s super durable so my minpin can’t get into it like tte silicone lidded bowls. Great value. These will outlive me."
"I love these little sized containers. They work well if your an adult who can close them tightly. Unfortunately, I purchased these for our kindergartner. I thought they would work for condiments in her lunch box. They are difficult to open when new. After I "loosened" them up and she could open the container herself, turns out she can't close them properly. The way they twist and snug down just isn't something a kid is mindful of. It's to easy for the kid to think it's closed, when, in fact, it's not. After a few messy lunch box and snack bag clean-ups we now use them for sweet snacks like gummy bears and mini marshmallows. They are the perfect size for a little lunchtime sweetness."
"UPDATE: I am happy to report that within a few hours, the customer service staff replied and that I am getting a replacement in about a week. I love the personal and speedy reply. I will be a continued customer and also highly recommend the products to my family and friends. ********************************************* I am sad because my package of three came with only 2 dip containers! Is there a way I can have a 3rd mailed to me? Everything else was perfect. I love LunchBots and have had them for YEARS. Great product. Just needed to order more for a wider selection."
"great size, I needed something small to hold ranch dressing for my kids lunches. Unfortunately 2 of the 3 lids won't stay on in the lunch box. Ended up with dressing all over the place. Trying the 3rd one today with fingers crossed. UPDATE: After talking to the company I think the seal was in upside down. When I opened the box I just used them as they arrived. Once I turned the seals around so the shiny side was facing out and pushed them into the ring snug the lids are nice and tight. Changing this from 2 stars to 5 as they are working exactly as I hoped and LOVE THEM!"
"These are a bit expensive but they are worth it. That being said,I have to admit I have bought 9 so far... they are fairly small but I use them for the adults and the kids so don't just think of them as sauce cups. I use them for small measured snacks during the day (I take 2 or 3 of them with some pieces of dried fruit, peanuts, pistachios (couple of good mouthfuls in each one) but I do the same for my toddler aged children. I pack snacks in them for them as well and they are just the right size for a small snack instead of handing them a big bag. Think outside the box a little and things like 4 ritz crackers (perfect for a couple of peanut butter crackers) almost like they were made for them. 10 cheez-its crackers, a little handful of diced dried fruit or fresh since they don't leak etc... they are perfect, seal tightly and are very well made. most importantly to me, they are supposed to be 18/8 stainless and solid. Kudos to lunchbots for using an actual commercial grade and quality stainless. Many are a cheaper, less durable grade that will rust if your not careful and if your not careful will actually leach metal into your food (especially anything acidic). I'm willing to pay a little extra for better quality and something that really should last a lifetime (the rubber seals won't but we'll see). I did find that a magnet will stick to some parts of the container but not all, likely something to do with the manufacturing as it's rolled which may create a bit of a less than even distribution of the materials. Haven't actually done the vinegar test yet (pour a tbsp of vinegar in your "stainless steal" vessel and let it rest for a few minutes - if it tastes like metal - well, metal will leach into your food most notably things that are acidic. high quality stainless will not produce a metallic taste at all. Dear lunchbots - make some bigger ones, please... like a 3 or 4 ounce version."
"I love the LunchBots Dips Condiment Stainless Steel containers! I hand wash them, so don't know how it would hold up in a dishwasher (states that it is dishwasher safe). My daughter has been using these for about a month now and they have held up perfectly. I like that it's stainless (not plastic) and environmentally sound. I have not packed liquid items, so don't know if they would leak or not (they state they are leakproof). I was concerned about my daughter being able to open and close the lid. There has been no issue with this. The lid is easy enough for my 6 year old daughter to open and close (even if I struggled the first time!). The lids twist on and off. Once you know that, they are easy to open and close. These food containers are a bit smaller than I expected. I'm OK with that. They are 2-inch diameter by 1.5-inch high (each). The capacity is 1.5 fluid ounce each. So, it like the diameter of a 50 cent piece. We packed pepperoni in it (so she could assemble a 'pizza' at lunch). Worked perfectly for that. It's a bit too small to use for grapes or raspberries or strawberries (you could fit maybe 2 grapes in a container, or 2 raspberries or 1 strawberry). With all that, we still love these food containers and if I need more, will buy the LunchBots brand for sure!"
"Been using these for 1.5 yrs for kids lunches without issue. No leaks. We mainly use them for chummus or nubutter. From the first use, I removed the silicone ring that is supposed to seal the lid bc I didnt want to have to deal with the hassle of cleaning under it. (I live on the edge.) Throughout pre-school through second grade, these things have never (never...not once) leaked and I just throw them in the dishwasher at the end of the day. I dont know what the negative reviews about leakage are. Seriously. My kids put their lunchboxes upside down in their cubbies all the time at drop-off and Ive *never* had a problem...not once. They snap on over a bump, rather than screw on, but somehow they just dont leak. These, along with the divided containers, have been life savers for me, so I really hope they never stop making them bc of negative reviews. They are perfection!"
"These are quite simply the best portable food containers I have ever had, and I am an expert after four decades of brownbagging it. When they arrived, I subjected one of them to my grueling test. I filled it with water, stood over the sink, turned it upside down and shook it as hard as I could. I was literally trying to shake the lid off. Not a drop escaped. The lid stayed firm. At last, a perfect piece of equipment. I will never have mayo and mustard all over my reports again. I like to put my condiments on at work so the sandwich doesn't get soggy in transit. This has often meant the destruction of innocent and helpless briefcases and purses subjected to leaking condiments. I also purchased the large 4-ounce stainless steel LunchBots container and gave it the same test. Same result. Lid stayed firmly closed and not a drop of water escaped. I plan to acquire more LunchBot containers. They will be great for picnics, too. And what a perfect Christmas present! I appreciate and look for superb equipment, and I feel downright smug about discovering these amazing containers. Oh and they are dishwasher friendly too. What's not to love?"
"It does exactly what I was hoping for when I ordered it. It's pricey but it works and it's worth it for something that works really well. No leaks whatsoever!! I use it to send runny salad dressing to school for my 10 year old because he likes to pour his own dressing over his lunch salad at school so the lettuce doesn't get soggy by the time he gets to eat it. Even though I'm sure his lunch bag gets tossed around and dropped a couple times a day at school, dressing stays securely in this little container. NO greasy messes inside his lunch bag for me to clean up! I like it that it's stainless steel. I don't like to use plastic especially to store acidic foods. He has no problems opening it and securely closing it back up. So it's really easy to use. You can kind of feel it click and lock into its place when you close. I usually don't have time to write reviews but this one deserves it. Thanks for making this product. I would definitely order it again if mine gets lost."
